Lead Engineer - Drafting

Job Summary

To support the design of high-voltage circuit breaker products, the full-time Lead Engineer - Drafting will utilize CREO Wildfire software to design mechanical and electrical components, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage project milestones in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical and electrical components for high-voltage circuit breakers while ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness
• Analyze components using simulation software and prepare updates for program managers and team members
• Review and approve engineering drawings, maintain Bills of Materials (BOM), and oversee type tests according to industry standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field
• Five years of progressive work experience in developing high-voltage dead tank circuit breakers
• Proficiency in CREO 3D CAD software, ANSYS simulation software, and SAP software
• Experience with power testing, dielectric testing, and environmental testing of high-voltage products
• Knowledge of SF6 and alternative insulating gases for circuit breakers
