Job Summary
Seeking a highly hands-on Lead Engineer (FinTech) to work remotely, this full-time position will manage the technical design and implementation of complex FinTech systems, focusing on payments, financial integrations, and APIs while collaborating closely with Product and Engineering leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Own the technical design and implementation of FinTech and payment-related systems
- Build and maintain APIs, integrations, services, and data systems while solving complex engineering problems
- Mentor other engineers and establish engineering standards and best practices
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong experience in building and scaling production payments software
- Deep understanding of backend architecture, APIs, and distributed systems
- Experience in FinTech, payments, or financial services
- Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL
