Lead Engineer Legacy Software
Job Summary
Leading the sustainment and modernization of legacy software systems, the full-time Lead Engineer, Legacy Software will manage the enhancement and operational integration of military simulation systems while working remotely in support of the Air Force C2SET program.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the sustainment and enhancement of C2SET/AFMSTT legacy models and software artifacts
- Maintain and transition legacy simulation systems, addressing user priorities and urgent fixes
- Architect and guide integration support for interconnected modeling and simulation environments
Required qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience with C2SET/AFMSTT or similar military modeling and simulation systems
- Experience with cloud-based services and RESTful architectures, alongside military mission planning
- Extensive experience in coordinating software changes and support for legacy architectures
- Familiarity with transition engineering and legacy documentation practices
- Active Secret clearance required
