Lead Engineer, Product Catalog

Job Summary

Driving the technical direction for product data systems, the full-time remote Lead Engineer, Product Catalog will manage critical catalog systems, design scalable services, and lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance product data quality and merchandising efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve critical catalog systems, including product onboarding and validation workflows
• Design and operate scalable services and data models to ensure accurate product information
• Independently lead initiatives from concept through production rollout, including technical design and implementation

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a proven impact in complex domains
• Experience in building and operating large-scale production systems or product information systems
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Java, Ruby, or Python
• Familiarity with relational databases like Postgres or MySQL
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
