Lead Financial Analyst

Job Summary

Partnering with R&D, Data, and Product teams, the remote Lead Financial Analyst will focus on financial management of Shopify's AI infrastructure, driving investment decisions, business case analysis, and optimizing financial planning processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support forecasting and reporting cycles, developing actionable management reporting including dashboards and KPIs
• Build robust financial models and assess risks and opportunities across the investment space
• Stay updated on emerging AI technologies to identify opportunities for automation in FP&A workflows

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in financial modeling and strategic business planning
• Strong understanding of SQL and Python for data extraction and manipulation
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and AI technologies
• Experience in R&D finance and working with engineering teams on FP&A activities
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced and ambiguous environments
