Lead Full-Stack Developer

Job Summary

To support a major federal modernization initiative, the remote contract Lead Full-Stack Developer will lead and mentor development teams, provide hands-on engineering for cloud-native applications on AWS, and define technical standards while contributing directly to full-stack engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor full-stack development teams in cloud modernization and solution architecture initiatives
• Design and implement frontend and backend services using technologies such as Python, JavaScript, Django, and AWS-native services
• Define application architecture standards and ensure solutions align with AWS Well-Architected Framework principles

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant full-stack application development experience, including at least 4 years in technical leadership roles
• Bachelor's degree required, or 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and JavaScript
• Experience leading or mentoring teams of 5 or more developers
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, REST API design, and CI/CD for enterprise applications
