Lead IBM i Engineer
Job Summary
To support server systems and infrastructure, the full-time Lead IBM i Engineer will plan, design, implement, and provide advanced operational support for Windows, Linux, and IBMi environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as an escalation point for advanced troubleshooting and support of server environments
- Conduct triage and resolution of server issues and outages while communicating with stakeholders
- Design and implement complex solutions while guiding junior engineers and supporting strategic roadmaps
Required qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in server systems or related fields
- Strong understanding of operating systems, hardware, and infrastructure design
- Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticket resolution
