Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

To support the IT infrastructure team, the full-time Lead Infrastructure Engineer will design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure solutions while ensuring system reliability, security, and integration of hardware, software, and cloud services, with occasional visits to data centers required.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and promote infrastructure strategies for cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance
• Administer enterprise storage, backup solutions, and virtual server environments, optimizing system performance and automating processes
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with security standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus
• 5-8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Expertise in enterprise storage platforms (NetApp, EMC) and backup applications (Commvault)
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V) and cloud services (Microsoft Azure)
• Proficiency in scripting languages and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
