Job Summary
Leading the design and development of technical apprenticeship training programs for Power Generation trades, the part-time contract Lead Instructional Designer will analyze training needs, create learning solutions, and mentor other instructional designers while primarily working in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop instructor-led and on-the-job training programs for apprenticeship programs
- Analyze training needs and recommend effective learning solutions while collaborating with subject matter experts
- Manage projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget constraints
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field
- 5+ years of instructional design experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or mentoring role
- Experience designing technical training programs within utilities or related industries
- Strong project management skills and proficiency with instructional design tools
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines independently
