Lead Instructional Designer

Job Summary

Leading the design and development of technical apprenticeship training programs for Power Generation trades, the part-time contract Lead Instructional Designer will analyze training needs, create learning solutions, and mentor other instructional designers while primarily working in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop instructor-led and on-the-job training programs for apprenticeship programs
• Analyze training needs and recommend effective learning solutions while collaborating with subject matter experts
• Manage projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget constraints

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field
• 5+ years of instructional design experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or mentoring role
• Experience designing technical training programs within utilities or related industries
• Strong project management skills and proficiency with instructional design tools
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines independently
