Lead Investment Accountant

Job Summary

Serving as a technical accounting and financial reporting leader, the full-time remote Lead Investment Accountant will oversee complex GAAP, Statutory, and SEC reporting activities, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving process improvements while mentoring fellow accounting professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee GAAP, Statutory, and SEC reporting activities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Research emerging accounting guidance and analyze complex investment transactions to support accurate financial reporting
• Mentor accounting professionals and partner with investment management and finance stakeholders to provide insights for strategic business decisions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or a related field
• A minimum of 6 years of related accounting experience, including at least 4 years in a specialized area such as investments or financial reporting
• Background in GAAP and/or statutory financial reporting and analysis, particularly in investment accounting
• Proven ability to draft and implement departmental accounting policies and procedures
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and Access
