Lead Java Software Engineer

Job Summary

Hands-on and driven, the full-time Lead Java Software Engineer will support and build clinical and interoperability products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and ensure high code quality while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers to deliver multiple use cases and products while managing end-to-end application development and deployment
• Facilitate design discussions, ensure performance optimization, and maintain code quality through testing and reviews
• Actively participate in Agile Scrum activities, including Sprint Planning and Iteration Reviews, to meet delivery timelines

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the software development lifecycle, including coding standards, testing, and production deployments
• 7+ years of experience with Java, Spring, Junit, APIs using Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture
• 3+ years of experience supporting healthcare clinical applications and managing applications in cloud environments (preferably Google Cloud)
• Experience with Kubernetes, SOAP services, and DevOps tools such as Git and Jenkins
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant work experience)
