Job Summary
To enhance enterprise Linux authentication and security, the remote Lead Unix/Linux Security Engineer will configure, troubleshoot, and maintain secure authentication services while collaborating with infrastructure, security, and networking teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise Linux authentication services using SSSD
- Integrate Linux systems with Active Directory, LDAP, and Kerberos
- Implement Linux security hardening and secure access best practices
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a Unix/Linux Systems Engineer or Linux Security Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience with System Security Services Daemon (SSSD)
- Advanced experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, and Ubuntu
- Experience troubleshooting authentication failures, password expiration, and SSSD caching issues
- Experience implementing Linux hardening and secure access models
