Lead Linux Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance enterprise Linux authentication and security, the remote Lead Unix/Linux Security Engineer will configure, troubleshoot, and maintain secure authentication services while collaborating with infrastructure, security, and networking teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise Linux authentication services using SSSD
• Integrate Linux systems with Active Directory, LDAP, and Kerberos
• Implement Linux security hardening and secure access best practices

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Unix/Linux Systems Engineer or Linux Security Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with System Security Services Daemon (SSSD)
• Advanced experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, and Ubuntu
• Experience troubleshooting authentication failures, password expiration, and SSSD caching issues
• Experience implementing Linux hardening and secure access models
