Job Summary

Managing complex long term disability claims, the part-time Lead Long Term Disability Claims Specialist will ensure accurate claim decisions while delivering high-quality customer experiences in a virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the management of complex long term disability claims, ensuring compliance and timely decisions
  • Create thorough documentation and correspondence by analyzing relevant information to support claim determinations
  • Oversee claim evaluations and manage communications with various stakeholders, providing updates and resolving escalated concerns
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of LTD/IDI insurance claims experience
  • Demonstrated customer service skills through internal and external interactions
  • Experience in mentoring and supporting the development of team members
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating medical, occupational, and financial information
  • Ability to coordinate with internal and external partners for comprehensive claim evaluations
