Lead Mainframe Consultant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Mainframe Consultant for a remote position.

Key Responsibilities

• Consult with engineering staff to evaluate hardware and software interfaces, develop specifications, and resolve issues
• Advise on software system maintenance and direct testing and validation procedures
• Inform stakeholders on project status and manage software programming and documentation development

Required Qualifications

• 10-20 years of experience in mainframe environments
• Strong proficiency in z/OS (MVS) operations and knowledge of subsystems like JES2, RACF, and CICS
• Expertise in NetView customization and REXX programming
• Bachelor's degree minimum
• Experience with monitoring and alerting on exceptions and problem resolution
