Lead Mainframe Systems Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Mainframe Systems Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and update existing Mainframe systems
• Conduct systems programming and support activities, including testing and monitoring system improvements
• Lead medium to large projects and advise junior professionals on system design and best practices

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree and 4 years of related experience, or Bachelor's degree and 6 years of related experience, or high school degree and 8 years of related experience
• Experience in mainframe systems programming within an IBM/z environment
• Strong understanding of z/OS operating system and system structures, including SMPE software installation and JCL
• Familiarity with Jes2, TSO, z/OS Security, and z/OS networking
