Lead Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting the design and development of oilfield subsurface components, the full-time Lead Mechanical Engineer will create layouts, interpret engineering specifications, and assist small engineering teams while working four days onsite and one day remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Support the creation of layouts, functional component specifications, and assembly procedures
• Interpret customer engineering specifications to produce detailed designs and assist with work pack creation
• Participate in design verification activities and support manufacturing through design for manufacture principles

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Basic understanding of engineering design principles and verification processes
• Knowledge of materials, including metals and welding processes
• Familiarity with engineering design tools and document management systems
• Permanent work permit in the UK
