Job Summary
To support the BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor design, the full-time Lead Mechanical Engineer will manage Mechanical Nuclear Island Support Systems engineering activities, focusing on the Containment System and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely deliverables in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee engineering activities related to the Containment System and associated fluid sub-systems
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including System Design Descriptions and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support regulatory deliverables for licensing compliance
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience
- Experience with Six Sigma methodology
- Knowledge of working within a regulated environment, particularly in nuclear settings
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and drive quality standards
