A company is looking for a Lead Medical Records Technician (Coder- Outpatient and Inpatient).

Key Responsibilities

• Assigns codes to patient care encounters, ensuring accuracy and adherence to coding guidelines
• Monitors regulatory changes and recommends improvements in documentation systems
• Trains team members and provides technical guidance to ensure effective coding practices

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• U.S. Citizenship is required
• One year of relevant experience or an associate degree in health information technology or related field
• Completion of an AHIMA-approved coding program or equivalent coding training
• Mastery level certification through AHIMA or AAPC is required
• Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and coding systems is essential
