Job Summary

Overseeing medical stop loss underwriting activities, the full-time Lead Medical Stop Loss Underwriting Specialist will independently manage complex cases, assess risk, and communicate decisions to ensure product profitability while working remotely or onsite in various locations.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage large complex underwriting cases with minimal support, evaluating client data and claims history
• Formulate pricing decisions and negotiate terms within authority limits while applying current pricing strategies
• Collaborate with sales staff, brokers, and clients to discuss financial results and engage in negotiations

Required qualifications:

• 7+ years of Medical Stop Loss underwriting experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Ability to work independently with strong time management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
