Lead Medical Writer

Job Summary

As a full-time Lead Medical Writer, this remote position will manage the delivery of high-quality, scientifically accurate content for Oncology-focused medical communications projects, guiding writers and ensuring editorial excellence from planning to final review.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the lead writer and primary client contact for assigned accounts
• Develop and oversee content creation, ensuring quality and timely delivery of all client programs
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced writers while managing project delivery and compliance processes

Required qualifications

• Degree in life sciences; PharmD or PhD preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in medical or scientific writing, ideally within a healthcare consultancy or medical communications agency
• Proven expertise in developing scientific content specifically for Oncology accounts
• Experience managing client relationships and serving as a key point of contact
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory guidelines for medical communications
