Lead Network Engineer

Job Summary

Leading a team of network engineering contractors, the full-time remote Lead Network Engineer will own and operate a hybrid network environment, focusing on AWS cloud networking, security, and automation while driving the transition to a Zero Trust access model.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the hybrid network, ensuring standardization, reliability, and security across AWS and on-premise environments
• Lead the evaluation and deployment of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and Secure Web Gateway (SWG) capabilities
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform to automate network changes and enhance self-service capabilities for application and operations teams

Required qualifications

• Strong networking fundamentals in routing, switching, DNS, load balancing, NAT, and segmentation
• Experience managing a Palo Alto environment and AWS networking in a multi-account setting
• Proven track record in deploying ZTNA and SWG solutions, alongside Enterprise Architecture and Cyber Security
• Practical experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure as code tools
• Comfort with scripting for automation and operational tooling (Python, Bash, etc.)
