Lead Operations Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the Operations team in a full-time remote capacity, the Lead Operations Engineer will serve as the primary technical resource, managing hands-on responsibilities in system provisioning, upgrades, and incident response while continuously improving CDN reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the senior escalation point for the Operations team, addressing complex technical issues
• Oversee incident response and manage communication with strategic customers during escalations
• Drive improvements in CDN operational excellence and author post-mortems for major incidents

Required Qualifications:

• In-depth experience in Linux system administration at scale
• Strong knowledge of HTTP, caching, and networking (routing and TCP/IP)
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex customer-facing issues
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Nginx, HAProxy, and Varnish
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PHP
