Job Summary
Leading a team of Patient Services Representatives, the full-time hourly Lead Patient Services Representative will provide guidance, training, and oversee customer service activities including resolving patient inquiries and managing account investigations in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee and distribute work among Patient Services Representatives while providing training and support
- Manage customer service activities, including resolving patient inquiries and following up on self-pay balances
- Conduct account investigations and collections related to patient accounts
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Three or more years of experience in a medical billing office
- General understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in GE/IDX, EPIC, or similar computerized billing systems
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding, as well as payers in specialty
