Lead Planning Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Planning Engineer to oversee the planning and implementation of Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiates projects using practical and economical means
• Performs engineering work and applied research for new projects, including design and evaluation of equipment
• Acts as a technical project leader and provides oversight to other planners on technical issues

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a consulting role; Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years with a Master's Degree
• Proficient in designing, planning, and deploying DWDM networks
• Skilled in interpreting fiber characterization results, including OTDR, CD, and PMD testing
• Experience managing multiple projects under tight deadlines and coordinating with cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical skills to identify network issues and develop effective solutions
