Lead Platform Engineer

Job Summary

To support the evolution of cloud-native services, the full-time Lead Platform Engineer will architect and enhance shared Platform Core services designed to manage significant data growth and user demands, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and evolve cloud-native platform services for high-throughput, low-latency data processing and scalability
• Design distributed systems for authentication, authorization, metadata management, and real-time event processing
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver infrastructure supporting new services and high-volume data workloads

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with cloud-native backend services
• Demonstrated experience as a technical leader or architect in system design and scalability
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Python for building backend services
• Expertise in AWS cloud services and infrastructure-as-code frameworks like CloudFormation and CDK
• Solid understanding of observability best practices for monitoring and distributed tracing
