Lead Product Designer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Lead Product Designer will define and evolve core interaction patterns and design principles, identify fragmentation across teams, and create scalable design systems to ensure cohesive user experiences across Ancestry's product ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve core interaction patterns, components, and design principles for consistency across products
• Identify fragmentation and translate opportunities into scalable design systems and shared solutions
• Embed within product teams to unblock design challenges and elevate execution quality

Required qualifications

• Significant experience in product, systems, or platform design within complex consumer products
• Strong expertise in interaction design, design patterns, and scalable frameworks
• Exceptional interaction and visual design craft, demonstrated through a strong portfolio
• Experience partnering closely with product managers and engineers to build shared design systems
• Comfortable operating as a lead individual contributor while remaining hands-on in the work
