Lead Product Manager, Security

Job Summary

To enhance Wikipedia's security strategy in the AI era, the full-time Lead Product Manager, Security will manage the product security strategy, drive team priorities, and develop technical features to protect users and the platform while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and strengthen the Wikimedia Foundation's product security strategy and organizational security culture
• Determine and drive team priorities focused on security and privacy, collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Communicate with community members about security initiatives and establish strong relationships with volunteers

Required qualifications

• At least 7 years of professional experience in product development, with a minimum of 2 years in a security-focused role
• Experience driving significant security initiatives in a senior technical or product management capacity
• Proficiency in using AI-based tools for security analysis and technical tasks
• Comfort with command-line-based tools as needed
• Experience working with online communities, especially public ones
