Lead QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance web application QA processes, the remote Lead QA Automation Engineer will architect and manage end-to-end testing strategies, build automation frameworks using Cypress and TypeScript/JavaScript, and integrate production smoke tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently architect, scale, and own the end-to-end test strategy for complex web applications
• Build, maintain, and optimize robust automation frameworks utilizing Cypress and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Automate and embed production smoke tests and regression suites into CI/CD pipelines for rapid deployments

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of dedicated QA experience with a focus on web automation engineering (SDET)
• Expert-level experience with Cypress, including 2+ years of intensive framework-building
• Proficient in TypeScript or JavaScript for writing clean, reusable automation code
• Ability to read and troubleshoot backend services written in Python or Go
• Proven experience building automated quality gates in modern CI/CD systems
