Lead QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the automation strategy across a multi-surface product portfolio, the full-time Lead QA Automation Engineer will improve existing frameworks and build new ones, making architectural decisions and setting quality standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own the automation framework, making tooling and architectural decisions while ensuring CI integration and scalability
• Define testing coverage and communicate quality risks clearly, participating in cross-functional planning and negotiations
• Enhance the skills of QA engineers through structured code reviews and feedback, while also participating in the hiring process

Required qualifications

• Strong test automation experience with Playwright and TypeScript
• Experience building automation infrastructure from scratch and improving existing systems
• Ability to design rigorous test coverage, including edge cases and failure modes
• Proven track record of making architectural decisions supported by evidence
• Experience in mentoring and raising the quality standards of fellow engineers
