Lead Quality Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the quality strategy for Agile teams, the full-time Lead Quality Engineer will own test plans and quality outcomes, coordinate testing efforts across multiple squads, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring comprehensive quality coverage from user interfaces to APIs and databases.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the quality strategy and delivery outcomes for features, ensuring end-to-end quality coverage
• Mentor junior Quality Engineers and drive the adoption of best practices in testing and quality
• Act as the primary point of contact for quality, communicating status, risks, and mitigation plans effectively

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience in software quality engineering with a proven leadership track record
• Advanced proficiency in programming languages relevant to quality engineering (e.g., Java, JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Extensive knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., WebdriverIO, Selenium)
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and proficient in SQL for database validation
