Lead Research Scientist

Job Summary

Providing scientific leadership and methodological guidance, the full-time Lead Research Scientist will support the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and oversee research activities, data analysis, and evaluation efforts in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead analytic planning and interpretation of 988 Lifeline data to inform research and evaluation activities
• Provide methodological guidance for evaluation studies, survey design, and data interpretation
• Supervise and mentor research scientists while collaborating on research products and dissemination materials

Required qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral-level research qualifications in a relevant field
• Minimum of five years of experience in research design, analysis, and dissemination
• Experience supervising or mentoring research staff or project teams
• Proficiency in RStudio and familiarity with data tools like Tableau or SQL
• At least two first-authored peer-reviewed publications or comparable scholarly work
