Lead Revenue Integrity Coder

Job Summary

Leading a remote team, the full-time Lead Revenue Integrity Coder will ensure accurate coding and compliance for patient encounters, mentor team members, and support quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign and sequence ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for various patient encounters, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Review medical records for documentation deficiencies and collaborate with providers to obtain necessary supporting documentation
• Train and mentor team members while overseeing coding compliance and quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of coding experience in an acute care or medical office setting
• Nationally recognized coding certification required (such as CCS, CPC, or AAPC)
• 2+ years of experience utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Thorough knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT-4 coding guidelines, and reimbursement methodologies
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and health information management
