Lead Security Engineer

Job Summary

Acting as a Subject Matter Expert in Vulnerability and Configuration Management, the full-time remote Lead Security Engineer will conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments, prioritize remediation efforts, and collaborate with IT and security teams to enhance the organization's security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability assessments using tools like Wiz and Tenable, and track remediation efforts
• Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities and compliance with security policies
• Mentor junior analysts and develop standard operating procedures and frameworks for vulnerability management

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or a related field; Master's Degree is a plus
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in security engineering and operations, particularly with vulnerability management tools
• Expertise in cloud-based critical infrastructure systems, specifically AWS, and knowledge of security threats
• Experience conducting comprehensive vulnerability assessments and familiarity with security vulnerabilities and compliance management
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and experience in developing standard operating procedures and training materials
