Job Summary
Acting as a Subject Matter Expert in Vulnerability and Configuration Management, the full-time remote Lead Security Engineer will conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments, prioritize remediation efforts, and collaborate with IT and security teams to enhance the organization's security posture.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using tools like Wiz and Tenable, and track remediation efforts
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities and compliance with security policies
- Mentor junior analysts and develop standard operating procedures and frameworks for vulnerability management
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or a related field; Master's Degree is a plus
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in security engineering and operations, particularly with vulnerability management tools
- Expertise in cloud-based critical infrastructure systems, specifically AWS, and knowledge of security threats
- Experience conducting comprehensive vulnerability assessments and familiarity with security vulnerabilities and compliance management
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and experience in developing standard operating procedures and training materials
