Lead Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the design and development of software applications, the contract-based Lead Senior Software Engineer will work remotely, focusing on the Cloudera Hadoop stack to create high-quality software modules and mentor team members while ensuring adherence to best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop maintainable software modules for the product suite
• Conduct unit and integration testing, and analyze requirements for implementation
• Mentor team members in software engineering methods and oversee migration processes to AWS

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 10+ years of experience with enterprise design patterns on Hadoop and Big Data platforms
• Hands-on experience with Cloudera Hadoop stack (HDFS, Hive, Spark, Oozie, Python)
• Proficiency in writing and troubleshooting shell scripts for automation
• Proven track record of migrating big data workloads to AWS and understanding of cloud security and compliance
