Job Summary
Leading a team of six engineers, the full-time remote Lead Site Reliability Engineer will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of K-12 learning platforms, leveraging expertise in AWS, Terraform, and observability tools to drive automation and enhance system resiliency.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the SRE team in supporting production infrastructure and services while managing backlog and sprint planning
- Own the reliability, uptime, security, cost, and performance of services, defining and monitoring SLOs for application workloads
- Collaborate with development teams and CyberSecurity on risk mitigation, as well as FinOps on cost reduction initiatives
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Software Engineering roles supporting enterprise applications
- Deep expertise in the AWS ecosystem, particularly with services like EKS, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch
- Proficiency in Terraform for managing and automating scalable cloud infrastructure
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and managing end-to-end software delivery lifecycles
- Familiarity with telemetry and observability tools such as New Relic and Datadog
