Lead Software Developer

Job Summary

To support a high-accountability environment, the remote Lead Software Developer will design, develop, test, and enhance software solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain unit, system, integration, and regression tests to validate code quality and improve release readiness
• Write testable and scalable code, utilizing approved AI tools and practices to enhance productivity and code quality
• Collaborate with team members, product owners, and release teams to ensure alignment with standards and production-readiness expectations

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree or 4+ years with a master's degree
• Strong proficiency in AI-assisted development tools for coding, documentation, and test generation
• Demonstrated experience in Agile team environments and ability to communicate technical tradeoffs effectively
• Proficiency in Java, Rest API, MySQL, Python, GIT Hub/Actions, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Kafka
• Preferred knowledge of Optical DWDM and Ruby on Rails
