Lead Software Development Engineer

Job Summary

To build core platform services and supply chain optimization solutions, the full-time remote Lead Software Development Engineer will architect, implement, and maintain microservices while mentoring engineers and ensuring system reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable platform services, APIs, and microservices in Java, Python, or TypeScript
• Establish and maintain coding, testing, and monitoring standards for platform engineering teams
• Own the reliability and performance of the systems built, serving as a technical escalation point for platform issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, and/or 5-8 years of experience in platform engineering or software development
• 3+ years of experience designing and implementing scalable platform services and microservices in cloud-native environments
• 8+ years in Java Development, with experience in architecture and design of new and current systems
• Solid experience with distributed systems architecture and AWS cloud platforms
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI development tools to enhance development velocity
