Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Software Engineer - Search Platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and enhance a full-stack Search Platform, focusing on indexing, scoring, and query understanding
• Continuously improve search quality using evaluation metrics and engineer hybrid search pipelines
• Mentor engineers, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure high availability and performance of search services

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering with distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with search technologies like Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and custom configuration
• Expert-level coding skills in TypeScript and Python for building APIs and backend services
• Proven ability to operate search infrastructure on cloud platforms, preferably AWS
• Familiarity with scientific data processing and exposure to NLP or embeddings
