Lead Software Engineer

Job Summary

Lead Software Engineer is a remote, full-time role focused on designing and developing an on-prem enterprise platform for TimescaleDB, while collaborating with customers to address operational challenges and enhance product capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of the on-prem deployment and management platform for TimescaleDB
• Build and evolve core product capabilities, including management consoles and operational tooling
• Drive new feature development while improving reliability, usability, and operational simplicity

Required Qualifications

• Experience building developer platforms, enterprise software, or infrastructure products
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, distributed systems, or deployment automation
• Comfort working across multiple layers of a system, from backend services to user-facing tooling
• Strong familiarity and proficiency with AI coding tools
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers or highly technical users is a strong plus
