Lead Software Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the modernization of backend systems, the full-time Lead Software Engineer will drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure the quality of AI-assisted Node.js and TypeScript code in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design and technical strategy for legacy-to-serverless migration
- Direct AI agents to produce production-quality code, ensuring correctness and maintainability
- Define data migration strategies and conduct deep analysis of existing systems to inform migration decisions
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a staff-level or principal/lead role
- Deep SQL expertise, including query optimization and complex schema design
- Strong backend development skills in Node.js and TypeScript
- Proven experience leading legacy system modernization and articulating migration strategies
- Experience with serverless architecture on AWS or equivalent major cloud
