Lead Software Engineer

Job Summary

To drive the vision and execution of the Corporate Payments engineering team, the full-time Lead Software Engineer will develop and implement the architectural roadmap for the WEX Bill Pay platform applications while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a long-term vision and strategy for Corporate Payments services
• Define and implement a comprehensive architectural roadmap for the EnCompass platform
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance development practices and reduce duplication

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering
• Expertise in cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Experience in writing high-quality automation and understanding the test pyramid
• Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements in cloud environments
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills
