Lead Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a proven Lead Software Engineer for a full-time remote position, this role focuses on building and scaling a new AI platform for mid-market manufacturers, collaborating directly with the CTO to design core infrastructure and optimize production planning processes.

Key responsibilities

• Own backend architecture and system design decisions alongside the CTO, from whiteboard to production
• Build and scale the core platform using a Node.js/Python stack with Azure Databricks as the data layer
• Design and implement optimization-heavy algorithms for demand planning and production scheduling

Required qualifications

• 5-10+ years of engineering experience, preferably in startups with a focus on B2B SaaS products
• 1 experience with scaling products to thousands of customers
• Proficiency in Node.js and Python, with comfort across a modern JavaScript stack
• Experience with Azure Databricks or comparable cloud data platforms
• Some experience leading or mentoring engineers, even informally
