Lead Software Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Lead Software Engineer will manage the development life cycle of software applications, including designing, coding, testing, and maintaining systems while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develops and maintains software applications by coding, testing, debugging, and documenting solutions
• Analyzes business requirements and translates them into technical specifications and product designs
• Provides leadership and guidance to junior technical staff and ensures adherence to software development life cycle standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• 7 or more years of applications development experience, with a focus on large and complex projects
• Expert knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, including agile methodologies
• Experience in mentoring and coaching junior technical staff
• Strong understanding of the workers compensation industry and relevant systems
