Lead Software Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Lead Software Engineer will design, code, test, and maintain scalable big data solutions while mentoring junior team members and driving agile processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, test, document, and maintain high-quality big data solutions
• Research, evaluate, and deploy new tools and frameworks for a sustainable big data platform
• Define and develop APIs for integration with various enterprise data sources

Required qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of hands-on software development experience
• 10+ years of development experience with Scala, Python, JSON, and Web Services
• 5+ years of experience in distributed systems technologies like Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, and Snowflake
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodology
