Lead Software Engineer

Job Summary

To drive technical excellence in a remote capacity, the full-time Lead Software Engineer will manage system architecture, engage in hands-on development, and provide technical leadership while designing scalable cloud-native solutions using Java and AWS.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and lead the design of scalable, resilient, and maintainable system architectures
• Actively contribute to the codebase in Java and lead by example through code reviews and engineering discipline
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Java development (Spring, Hibernate, J2EE)
• Proven experience leading system architecture in distributed/microservices environments
• Strong expertise in AWS-based cloud-native application development
• Deep understanding of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and system scaling strategies
• Demonstrated experience leading engineers or technical initiatives
