Lead Software Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely from anywhere in the U.S., the full-time Lead Software Engineer will design, code, test, and maintain scalable big data solutions while mentoring junior team members and driving agile processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain high-quality big data solutions, including defining and developing APIs for integration
• Research and deploy new tools and frameworks to enhance the big data platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in design and code reviews

Required qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience
• 8+ years of experience with Scala, Python, JSON, and Web Services
• 5+ years of experience in distributed systems technologies like Spark and Hadoop
• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure services on a major cloud platform, preferably Azure
