Job Summary
Leading the development of a storage platform, the full-time remote Lead Software Engineer will manage technical design discussions, drive large feature implementations, and shape coding methodologies while optimizing for throughput and costs.
Key responsibilities
- Lead technical design discussions and produce clear design documents
- Drive the implementation of large features on the storage platform
- Shape coding methodologies and establish best practices for the team
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in OOP (Java, Rust, C++, C#, etc.) with a focus on backend development
- Experience building host-managed SMR support for storage systems
- Proficient in benchmarking IO performance and resolving bottlenecks
- Experience building large-scale software systems running on thousands of servers
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and the software development lifecycle
