Lead Software Engineer
Job Summary
Leading a team of software engineers, the full-time Lead Software Engineer will design, develop, and implement applications while managing software requirements and mentoring junior staff in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the technical design, coding, and testing of new applications and enhancements to existing systems
- Identify gaps in requirements, evaluate risks, and implement solutions to improve system performance and availability
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to define system objectives and technical requirements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
- 8 years of experience in software design, development, and requirements management
- Proficiency in front-end and back-end programming and integration frameworks
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure
- Knowledge of programming languages including JavaScript, C, and Python
