Lead Software Engineer
Job Summary
Leading a team of software engineers, the full-time Lead Software Engineer will design, develop, and implement complex applications, ensuring compliance with development practices while mentoring junior staff in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the technical design, coding, and testing of new applications and enhancements to existing systems
- Identify and address gaps in requirements, managing risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define system requirements and technical specifications
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- 8 years of experience in software design, development, and testing
- Demonstrated experience with front-end and back-end programming and integration frameworks
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
- Experience with database technologies including SQL and NoSQL systems
