Lead Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Lead Software Engineer specializing in Embedded Computing Software, this remote position involves overseeing the design, development, and testing of complex software for embedded processing products, while serving as a technical expert to drive architecture decisions and resolve advanced software issues.
Key responsibilities:
- Participate in discussions with product managers to generate software specifications for new products and enhancements
- Collaborate with systems engineering and hardware teams to create sustainable solutions and resolve software/hardware problems
- Plan, design, develop, and test new embedded computing software in compliance with industry standards
Required qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship and active US DoD Clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 8-12+ years of progressive software development experience, including 5+ years developing software systems and 4+ years in a project lead role
- Hands-on experience with C/C++, Linux, VxWorks, and development tools such as Visual Studio and Eclipse
- Full software lifecycle development experience in accordance with DO-178C and CMMI
